This open letter shows how the Book’s warning about planetary change moved beyond publication into a practical private initiative. Beginning in March 2025, individuals involved in sharing the Book independently sent the letter to ministries of defense, science, and education, as well as to scientific communities and research institutions working on climate and Earth-system change, asking them to evaluate the Fulcrum mechanism and consider the possibility of developing an experimental prototype. Silence from many recipients and noncommittal replies from others were, in effect, the response to this citizen-led initiative. To date, no organization has undertaken a full feasibility study or prototype development, leaving the proposed mechanism without the independent scientific evaluation and coordinated institutional effort needed to determine whether it can be put into practice.
