This commentary on Quran 2:124–129 reflects on the true Messenger and the divine covenant.
The Kaaba is reconsidered as a sacred sign whose deeper meaning unfolds in time.

Quran 2:124

124. And [mention, O Muḥammad], when Abraham was tried by his Lord with words [i.e., commands] and he fulfilled them. [Allāh] said, “Indeed, I will make you a leader for the people.” [Abraham] said, “And of my descendants?” [Allāh] said, “My covenant does not include the wrongdoers.” *
The True Messenger and False Expectations
Servants of religion from different traditions spread similar assertions in order to obscure the identity of the true Messenger. They have shaped specific expectations regarding his name, lineage, and appearance.
When the true Messenger comes, many may reject him — not because he lacks truth, but because his name, face, or ancestry does not match what religious authorities have told them to expect.
And such people may ultimately accept a fabricated savior — even a false prophet serving forces opposed to divine truth — simply because he aligns with their expectations.
No one knows the day when the Almighty will send the Messenger. His name is not known. His appearance is not known.
The true believers are those who follow the commandments of the Prophet and remain faithful to his covenant. They unite nations against forces of corruption and injustice, safeguarding the future of their children — so that one day they will not mourn lifeless bodies among ruins, as many already do in different lands.
Quran 2:125–126
125. And [mention] when We made the House [i.e., the Kaʿbah] a place of return for the people and [a place of] security. And take, [O believers], from the standing place of Abraham a place of prayer. And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, [saying], “Purify My House for those who perform ṭawāf1 and those who are staying [there] for worship and those who bow and prostrate [in prayer].”
126. And [mention] when Abraham said, “My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits – whoever of them believes in Allāh and the Last Day.” [Allāh] said, “And whoever disbelieves – I will grant him enjoyment for a little; then I will force him to the punishment of the Fire, and wretched is the destination.”
The Kaaba and Forgotten Sacred Knowledge
Sacred knowledge has long been forgotten. Many religious authorities no longer understand the deeper meaning of the Kaaba, which was built by the will of the Almighty.
Its inner symbolism, as presented in the first part of this book, points beyond the structure itself.
The Kaaba may be understood as a sign — a precursor to a greater sacred symbol: the Holy Cube. Originally, there were eight stones symbolizing eight lampstands (or numerical tables), each representing a sacred structure of knowledge.
One of these lampstands has been known for thousands of years through the Chinese legend of the turtle (Luo Shu). The seven stones of the Kaaba represent the seven lampstands of the Almighty, which remained sealed until their appointed time.
Quran 2:127–129
127. And [mention] when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House and [with him] Ishmael, [saying], “Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing.
128. Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites [of worship] and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful.
129. Our Lord, and send among them a messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and purify them. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise.”
The Fulfilled Purpose of the Kaaba
The time of the Kaaba as a central sign is nearing completion, for its purpose has been fulfilled: it has awaited the revelation of the sacred Cube.
The increasing floods around the Kaaba may be understood as signs — directing attention toward the deeper meaning of the sacred Cube, revealed through the seven lampstands of the Almighty, so that Allah’s will may be fulfilled in these closing days of the old age.
Only those who remain sincere and discerning will enter the next stage of spiritual development.
Awaken — for the sake of your soul.
