The Difference Between an Awakened and an Unawakened Person
What Does It Mean to Awaken One’s Conscience?
An awakened person listens to the voice of conscience and thinks independently using their own mind, examining information rather than blindly repeating ideas from institutions, media, or tradition.
An unawakened person, by contrast, often repeats what they hear at school, on television, in religious institutions, or from media influencers, believing that these borrowed opinions are their own thoughts.
Are You Thinking for Yourself or Simply Repeating What You Hear?
Beliefs from Religion and Media
Many people follow beliefs they inherited from family, culture, or religious tradition without examining them independently. As a result, inherited beliefs are often repeated rather than consciously understood.
Many consider themselves believers — Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, or Hindus. They may even quote sacred texts from memory, yet often without analyzing contradictions or questioning statements that may conflict with conscience.
Memorizing vs Understanding
Memorizing something does not mean understanding it.
Ask yourself: If the Creator is One, why do so many religions and denominations claim to speak in His name?
Why do people follow the religion they were born into?
If you ask a Shia, a Sunni, a Catholic, a Reformist, or a Buddhist whether their belief is true, each will answer without hesitation:
“Of course. Only ours is true.”
But WHY are you what you are?
Because you were born into that tradition.
Living in the End Times: A Spiritual Examination
Many religious traditions describe signs that will appear before the Day of Judgment or during the end times. Do you not see that these events are already unfolding in the world today?
According to these signs and events, humanity may now be living through the final stage of a spiritual examination — a decisive period that began at the end of 2019 and concerns every person, regardless of their beliefs.
Global Forces That Distract from Awakening
Today various forces divide people and distract them:
- nations are set against one another,
- people are divided by religion, ideology, and deep social divisions,
- humanity is distracted by endless entertainment, trends, doctrines, or promises of effortless salvation.
Many voices tell people to remain passive — to wait, to submit, to meditate, or to pray while expecting salvation to arrive on its own.
But passive waiting cannot overcome the dangers now facing humanity.
At the same time, technological systems that increasingly shape information, finance, and personal freedom continue to expand.
People are often told that nothing depends on them — that they should simply trust blindly: in religious authority, in political leaders, in technological progress, or in some future transformation that will supposedly solve all problems.
History repeatedly shows that meaningful change requires conscious action, independent thinking, responsibility, and moral courage.
Wake Up from Distractions and Illusions and Take Action
What Can I Do to Awaken My Conscience?
A Message: Time of Unity calls people not to remain passive observers of events, but to begin with personal awakening and responsibility. This process may begin with several simple but important steps.
- Look honestly at what is happening around you. Reflect on whether constant distractions — entertainment, endless information streams, and the pursuit of secondary goals — may draw attention away from conscience, the soul, and the deeper purpose of life.
- Ask what you can do in your own place. Consider what actions are possible in your circumstances if you want to act according to conscience, reason, and care for other people rather than simply follow habit, fear, or external pressure.
- Step beyond passive comfort. Personal growth begins when a person leaves the position of indifference — the attitude that nothing depends on them — and begins to act with moral courage and responsibility.
- Help others awaken as well. Awakening is not only personal. People who begin to think independently and act responsibly also have a duty to encourage others to reflect, ask questions, and awaken their own conscience and reason.
Humanity Must Unite for a Better Future
What Can Unite People?
People can move toward a better future only if they learn to cooperate across national, cultural, and religious differences.
Each of us can contribute by refusing to be manipulated into hostility toward other nations, cultures, or religions. In this way, local conflicts are less likely to grow into destructive wars.
Another essential task is to defend human dignity, rights, and freedoms in a world where technological power is rapidly expanding.
A constructive future begins when people choose cooperation over hostility and responsibility over passivity.
